Why RTL Food Consulting

With over 11 years of experience in the food industry, we specialize in product development, marketing, manufacturing, and sales. In 2011, I left the corporate technology world and took a leap of faith into the food industry, armed with a great recipe, positive “test” marketing, and thorough competition research. For the first three years, we focused on selling online as a food gifting business. By 2014, we expanded to “certified gluten-free” and introduced a ready-to-bake gluten-free product line for the food service industry to bake gluten-free desserts. By our fifth year, we had secured an investor, bought our contract manufacturer, and began production of our brand and others.

After an unsuccessful buyout of our business partner, I began consulting with start-ups, manufacturers, and emerging companies. Our scope of work included HACCP, GMP, food defense, various certifications (Gluten Free, Vegan, Organic, and Kosher), and a training course on Wholesale Readiness. This led to the founding of RTL Food Consulting, and our goal is to teach others from our firsthand experiences.

We expanded our services to include training courses designed under specific categories: The Basics, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Marketing. Each course provides valuable guidance and support to aspiring food entrepreneurs. With our extensive experience in the industry, we are committed to helping others overcome the challenges of launching a successful food product. As we continue to grow, we will provide resources and guest speakers to help others grow and succeed.
